Decide what an agent can access before connecting it.

Namera checks both the connection's access and the selected session key's
permissions. A successful client connection does not give the agent unrestricted
access to your account.

## Choose Connection Access [#choose-connection-access]

Browser consent separates reading accounts, keys, and history from executing
transactions and signing. Simulation also requires execution access. Select only
the active session keys this client needs.

For an inspection-only client, grant read access without execute/sign access.
Hiding a tool in the client's UI is useful, but does not replace limiting its
Namera authorization.

## Set Session-Key Permissions [#set-session-key-permissions]

In the dashboard, configure the allowed networks, recipients or contracts,
amount limits, and expiry for the intended work. The session key must be active
and installed on the requested network. Message signing requires its own
permission; permission to transfer does not imply permission to sign.

The agent can inspect these permissions. It cannot create accounts, install
session keys, or approve a wider permission set through Namera's MCP tools.

## Keep Approval in the Client [#keep-approval-in-the-client]

Review your client's tool approval settings before allowing asset movement.
Keep confirmations enabled for execution and signing where the client supports
them. A prompt such as “ask me first” is not a substitute for enforced limits.

Do not paste a private key, encrypted export, passphrase, or API key into a chat.
Complete any dashboard-provided import in your terminal.

## Gas Limits [#gas-limits]

The default server configuration permits sponsored executions only, subject to
Namera's sponsorship checks. To permit self-funded gas, set a ceiling in the
server arguments yourself:

```sh
namera mcp serve --profile agent --max-gas-cost-wei 1000000000000000
```

That ceiling is **0.001 ETH** in wei. It limits gas cost, not the transfer amount.
Add the flag to the command your client launches; do not start a second server
in a terminal. Agents cannot raise this ceiling through tools.

## Submission Is Not Confirmation [#submission-is-not-confirmation]

Ask the agent to track a submission until it is confirmed or failed. If the
response is interrupted, check the known submission ID before requesting another
execution. Repeating an execution can move assets twice.
